Welcome to about my site. This page is basically the story of how Ultimate-Photography-Tips.com was developed, a story of passion for photography. I have always been fascinated with photography and how with just the click of the shutter a moment in time is frozen forever. From the very beginning photographs have been used to record events, preserve the lineage of families, document history and much more.

My interest isn't just in recording my surroundings but to do it artistically. That's why I started to study photography and read everything I could find on the subject. I wanted to improve my photography to the point where it would be worthy of framing and displaying.

Starting off was a little slow as back in those days all cameras used film. It took a few days to get the shots back and study them, decide what adjustments to make and go out on another shoot. And of course you were always a bit stingy with shooting frames as film can get a bit pricey. Things really took off with the coming of digital photography. You can shoot as many frames as you wish and all you have to worry about is having enough memory with you. You can study the shots later, on your computer and simply delete what you don't like. Then organize the rest and edit them as you see fit.

I love to take photographs and display them. I started to accumulate a large number of photos and when I set up a system to archive them I would write a little note about each photo. Family members and friends told me that perhaps I should think about setting up a website to show and talk about my photographs.

Because writing has also been an interest of mine I took this suggestion one step further and decided that a site about Photography tips would be the way to go. I could then write about photography and use my photos as content.

So I had the idea, I had quite a bit of content both written and photos. It was a great plan. However I didn't know anything about setting up or running a website. Well after doing quite a bit of research I purchased some information and a free ebook about an organization called SBI! came as a bonus. This bonus offer turned out to be a real treasure.

SBI! offered, in one package everything I needed to set up and run a successful website. I invested in a subscription and it turned out to be a very good idea indeed. More pages are being added on a regular basis. The traffic to the site and its popularity is on the increase and I am having a great time. I am pleased to welcome regular visitors and to publish a monthly newsletter, "Focal Point".
